WRXP’s objective was to provide Grand Marnier's existing and potential consumers memorable moments via an exclusive music experience which will translate into grand Marnier as the preferred choice of beverage. On Nov 16th, the station successfully did that by creating an intimate Secret Show with a performance by Grammy Winning Producer Butch Walker, all hosted by Grand Marnier. The hook was that while their listener's knew who was presenting and performing, they didn't know where the show would be. WRXP, New York, took a 360 approach by inviting listeners to this exclusive event via an online Feature Channel and a text to win component.
Once on site (at SOB's), all 200 winners were treated to Grand Marnier specially showcased cocktails and passed appetizers. In addition, greeters were at the door distributing Grand Marnier programs with the night's specialty drinks, as well as a brief history on Butch Walker. After an intimate and interactive performance, the night concluded with a meet and greet and photo opportunities with Butch and the WRXP/Grand Marnier winners.
The event was a success on many different levels for both Grand Marnier and 101.9 RXP. While Grand Marnier was able to showcase product in an intimate and engaged atmosphere, WRXP was able to fill the room with Grand Marnier's primary customers almost exclusively via its digital platforms.
